Stream Music To Xbox 360 Tutorial *With Pics*

For those of you that dont already know or dont own a 360 there are many ways to get multimedia to your 360 the fastest and easiest way is by streaming it which means it is stored on your PC but is running on your 360 via Network Connections(Router). This is a step by step process on how to do it. In this tutorial Windows Media Player 11 will be refered to as WMP 11

What You Need
Windows Media Player 11   Download Link
An active internet connection on both your PC and 360 
About 15 minutes of your Time

Instructions
Step 1. Make sure Windows Media Player 11 is Installed on your PC

Step 2. Make sure your Music, Videos, and Pictures are Imported into the WMP 11 library. If they are already imported skip to step 5.

Step 3. To import your files, open WMP 11 and under the Now Playing tab choose more options. See Figure 1.

Step 4. A new window appears Choose the library tab (Figure 2.) then select monitor folders (Figure 3) from there you can select all of the folders that you want imported into WMP 11

Step 5. Now Repeat Steps 3 and 4 but instead of clicking Monitor Folders click configure sharing.

Step 6. Select the settings button in the new window (Figure 4.) and choose "Allow new devices and computers automatically" (Figure 5.)

Step 7. Connect your 360 to your PC by choosing connect to a Windows Based PC, then select your PC's name.
